The key to fitness is the same as anything else, compound gains.
Do a little more each workout. More reps, more weight, etc. If you do 10 pushups on Monday, try doing 11 on Tuesday.
Build up slowly for a long time and you will make big gains. I saw this firsthand during my time in quarantine when the pandemic was in full gear.
